Illustration and branding for Industri, a start-up based in Coffeyville Kansas that “makes things for makers.” The town is overshadowed by a large industrial factory which was playfully referenced across the print material as a counterpoint to Industri‘s highly tailor made products.

Co-founder Kyle began his career carving bespoke wooden pens and stationery, before scaling up and experimenting with laser cutters and 3D printers. Despite the introduction of more advanced technology, the emphasis has remained on ergonomics and craft. As such, the letter ‘i’ was made the focal point of the branding campaign, with typographic mask icons designed for the two founders by repurposing elements from the wordmark.
